IT Administrator
Role Overview
We are seeking a technically capable and proactive IT Administrator to join our team in Mumbai. This stand-alone position plays a vital role in maintaining and supporting the Group’s IT infrastructure, coordinating with departments across all international offices. The role also acts as the primary liaison with our outsourced IT support provider, Microbyte, ensuring service quality and issue resolution.
Our IT environment is built on Microsoft Azure and the Microsoft Office suite, including SharePoint and OneDrive, with a mix of laptops and desktops across our operations.
Key Responsibilities
IT Systems & Support
- Provide first-line support to staff across all offices for hardware, software, and access issues
- Set up and configure laptops and desktops, ensuring readiness for new starters and role changes
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and licences within Microsoft Azure, Office 365, SharePoint, and OneDrive
- Maintain device security and enforce company IT and data protection policies
Operational Collaboration
- Work closely with HR and Operations teams on IT requirements for starters, leavers, and internal promotions
- Ensure timely provisioning and deactivation of user accounts and equipment
- Support onboarding processes with appropriate IT setup and documentation
Service Management
- Act as the main day-to-day point of contact for our outsourced IT provider - Microbyte, ensuring support issues are tracked and resolved
- Escalate and follow up on unresolved IT issues through the correct channels
- Coordinate small projects or requests with Microbyte, such as system upgrades or configuration changes
Asset & Licence Management
- Maintain the IT asset register for hardware and software across all group entities
- Track and manage software licences and renewals
- Support procurement processes by identifying hardware or licensing needs
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain internal IT documentation, including setup guides and process logs
- Assist in ensuring compliance with local and global data security standards
- Support business continuity efforts and contribute to IT-related risk management
Requirements
Essential:
- 3+ years of experience in an IT Administrator or Systems Support role
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Office 365, SharePoint, and Windows environments
- Experience managing IT assets and software licensing
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with working in a global business setting or supporting remote users
Desirable:
- Experience working with or managing outsourced IT providers
- Exposure to financial services or other regulated industries
- Understanding of IT compliance, data protection, and cybersecurity principles
- IT certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or CompTIA A+
