Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and technically strong Financial Accountant to join our Finance team in Dubai.

This role would suit a part-qualified, finalist or recently qualified accountant with experience in audit, accounts preparation and financial reporting. The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of IFRS, strong attention to detail, and the ambition to develop within a growing international financial services group.

The role will involve supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts, statutory financial statements, reconciliations, audit deliverables and group reporting. This is a strong opportunity for someone who has trained in practice or worked in an accounting environment and is now looking to step into a broader, commercially focused finance role.

Financial Reporting & Month-End

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts across group entities.

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, including bank, intercompany, accruals, prepayments and control accounts.

• Support month-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and reporting is accurate.

• Review income, costs and ledger postings to ensure correct accounting treatment.

• Assist with variance analysis and commentary for management reporting.

Statutory Accounts & Audit

• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements under IFRS.

• Assist with year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.

• Prepare audit schedules, supporting documentation and responses to audit queries.

• Help ensure accounting records are complete, accurate and audit-ready.

Group Finance & Controls

• Support intercompany reconciliations and group reporting processes.

• Assist with consolidation schedules and group-level reporting requirements.

• Help maintain strong internal controls across finance processes.

• Identify process improvements and support the ongoing development of finance systems and reporting.

Tax, VAT & Compliance Support

• Assist with VAT, corporate tax and regulatory reporting information where required.

• Support the finance team with documentation for external advisers, auditors and regulators.

• Ensure finance records are maintained in line with internal policies and applicable requirements.

The ideal candidate will be someone who is ambitious, detail-focused and keen to grow within an international finance function.

Essential Requirements

• Part-qualified, finalist or recently qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent.

• Experience in audit, accounts preparation or financial reporting.

• Strong understanding of IFRS.

• Good technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.

• Confident working with Excel and accounting systems.

• Able to manage deadlines and work across multiple entities or reporting lines.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Currently based in Dubai or willing to work from Dubai.

Desirable Experience

• Background in audit practice with exposure to statutory accounts.

• Experience within financial services, wealth management, insurance or regulated businesses.

• Experience with multi-entity groups, intercompany balances or consolidations.

• Exposure to UAE or other jurisdiction VAT or corporate tax processes.

• Experience using AccountsIQ, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, Oracle NetSuite or similar systems.

• High attention to detail.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

• Willingness to learn and take ownership.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-finance stakeholders.
