Role Overview
The Sales Support Consultant is responsible for supporting Skybound’s global advisory and business development network through lead generation, prospect research, and client profiling. Based in the Mumbai office as part of the Group’s exported services function, the role provides direct support to Business Development Managers and Advisers across key international offices.
This role plays an important part in Skybound’s client acquisition strategy by identifying, researching, and qualifying prospective clients who may benefit from international wealth management, financial planning, and investment advisory services.
The successful candidate will be expected to combine strong research ability, data accuracy, CRM discipline, Excel proficiency, and professional communication to help generate opportunities for the advisory teams.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Lead Generation
Identify and build targeted prospect lists using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, online research, professional databases, company websites, industry sources, and other approved tools.
Research individuals based on location, profession, seniority, industry, income potential, international mobility, and likely wealth management needs.
Client Profiling & Qualification
Develop clear prospect profiles by assessing relevant background information such as occupation, company, location, financial potential, career milestones, and possible advisory needs.
Qualify leads based on suitability, and relevance to the assigned Business Development Manager or Adviser
BDM & Advisor Support
Work closely with Business Development Managers to understand target markets, preferred client profiles, campaign priorities, and appointment-setting requirements.
Provide regular updates on lead quality, research techniques and ideate on the prospecting strategies.
Data Quality
Ensure prospect data is accurate, relevant, and handled in line with internal data protection, compliance, and communication policies.
Avoid duplication, maintain clean records, and follow approved processes for lead sourcing, engagement, and record management.
Campaign & Market Support
Support targeted business development campaigns by geography, profession, employer, nationality, or client segment.
Assist in identifying new prospect pools, researching market opportunities, and preparing data sets for BDM-led initiatives.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
Monitor outreach effectiveness, response rates, conversion trends, appointment generation, and lead quality.
Use performance insights to improve prospecting methods, targeting, data accuracy, and campaign outputs.
Key Skills & Experience

Strong research skills and attention to detail
Professional communication skills
Confidence supporting international business development teams
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to manage prospect lists, clean and organise data, track activity, use filters and formulas, prepare structured reports
A proactive, organised and target-driven approach
The ability to work independently while supporting teams across different time zones
Strong written English
Good data discipline
